It took almost a month for us to catch up so expect another entry next week for Asher's 5th month. In the meanwhile, we'll quickly recap his 4 month.
It was a rough month for Asher. He had his first ear infection, a head cold, and eczema. As you'll see from the pictures, he even needed a nebulizer for his cough. With a little bit of TLC, some antibiotics, and some creams, he got almost everything under control by his follow up appointment. He did have to wear the occasional socks on his hands and he continues many of the lotions today to keep the eczema under control.
Asher has been slowly putting on the weight and is now up to 5 6oz bottles/day. He now weighs 13 lbs and is in the 25th percentile for his age. Next month he'll start solids so we hope he'll gain even more weight.
Asher is proving to be a quite happy baby. He is sleeping 11 hours a night. He smiles and laughs all the time. He enjoys daycare and he loves his brother, Logan. We just have to be careful because if we make him laugh too hard, he spits up, though not bad enough to wear a bib all day long.
For those of you wondering about his eye color, it looks like the blue eyes will be sticking around for a while. For the first couple months, it was hard to tell, but now it is clear that he will have blue eyes like his father.
This month, Asher got to experience Universal Studios for the first time and he had a ball. We went on the carousel, but most of the time he waited while one of us went on a ride with Logan. He also went to the EPCOT Princess 1/2 Marathon to watch Cashawna cross the finish line. He has been great at restaurants and a pretty good passenger in the car. Overall, we can't complain.
Next month, Asher will try solid foods for the first time, go to Walt Disney World with the Kissels, make several visits to the local park, master the art of turning over, celebrate Passover, and more. Check back in the next couple weeks for a full update with pictures.
